THE RAPHAELITE WORK
“The Way of the Heart”
with Nur-Al-Haqq Richard Martin
February 6 and 7
to download and review flyer click

“The Raphaelite Work is an approach to healing, transformation, and self discovery
that supports us in our efforts to live life more fully.”

Nur Al Haqq

The way of the heart is full of love, compassion and innocence -- love without expectation; compassion, the wish to understand; and innocence, dispensing all judgment.  When one begins looking and feeling from the perspective of “heart,” a softer, kinder and gentler world begins to open, and the opportunity of growing more tolerant, considerate, and polite to oneself and others is realized.

In this workshop, tools and techniques will be offered to open one’s heart and begin the process of allowing one’s own inner intelligence to inform and to guide. We will begin learning the process of “Compassionate Listening,” a way of being present to another in a non-directive, non-judgmental way, which allows another to feel seen, accepted, and supported. Compassionate listening is central to the Raphaelite Work, named for Raphael, the Archangel of healing and science, and is vital to all relationships: clinical services, guiding retreats, as well as our everyday relationships. Listening from the heart opens a door that transcends the mind and helps to develop a clarity in the understanding of ourselves and others.

One of the basic principles of the Raphaelite Work is the belief that working with ourselves is the first step to helping others, and this work encourages one to be ever more present to and familiar with the unique languages of the physical, mental, emotional, moral, and spiritual aspects of self. When the intelligences of these different bodies are allowed to manifest in an atmosphere that is gentle, non-directive, and non-judgmental, a healing takes place which is both restorative and transformative.  With the addition of Qigong, we will learn to feel the energy flow and allow the intelligence to come forward and inform.

Creating the Universe Anew: Spirituality and Matter
With Pir Zia Inayat-Khan

More and more, people are choosing to describe themselves as spiritual.
Spirituality is often considered as being at odds with the material world,
but a more unified perspective is needed now. For we are at a critical
juncture, where the health of the living Earth can no longer be taken for
granted. At such a time we must ask, what does our spirituality say about
our relationship to the Earth, to our fellow creatures, and to our own
bodies?
Retreat: Saturday February 20 & Sunday February 21:   9.30am to 4.30pm

Program Cost:  $200 if registered by Feb 10, after that date $235. Includes Friday evening.

Pay on-line or mail checks payable to Rising Tide at 5102 Swift Road, Sarasota FL 34231
