REIKI is an ancient form of hands-on healing whose roots go back to Gautama Siddharta on the India-Nepal border in 620BC. Modern day REIKI was brought to the western world by Dr. Mikado Usui, in 1922. The word REIKI is two Japanese words, REI which means “Divine Source or Higher Power” and KI which means “Life Force Energy.”

For me everything in life is REIKI! We are all vibrational beings. This energy or life force is called by many different names such as Chi, Ki, Manna, Prana, Orenda, Life Force or Divine Essence. The REIKI practitioner learns to “become” the REIKI, guided by higher power through symbols handed down by one REIKI Master to another. This class is an initiation into becoming a counscious and purposely directed light being. It is a powerful venue for connection, alignment, healing, relaxation, clearing and balancing of body, mind, emotions and spirit.

For this class series we use the book, “ESSENTIAL REIKI: A Complete Guide to An Ancient Healing Art” by Diane Stein, who is in our lineage.

Rev. Zan received her Reiki Masters Degree in 1998. She practices REIKI with every client she sees. “REIKI” she says, “heals, and works beyond words, science, mind and common sense. The magic about REIKI is that when you give it, you receive it as well. You cannot be unhappy and use REIKI!”
