Please help. We need to raise $12,000 for a new roof. RTI has been a spiritual home for many of us - it has covered us with real spiritual energy and nourishment. This temple of universal wisdom now needs each of us to step forward with a donation, to keep the building beautiful and dry.

If each community member is willing to donate a minimum of $50, we will be able to achieve our goal easily.  We currently have two matching grants, one for $1,000 and one for $500, with a provision that these will be granted for the last $1,500 raised.  If anyone else wishes to create a matching grant of $500 or more, this would also be greatly appreciated.

Donations can be made online (see blue Donate button above) or by sending a check made out to Rising Tide to 5102 Swift Rd. Sarasota, FL 34231 with ‘roof’ in the memo line.

Rising Tide International is entering its teenage years, a time of transition and maturation. We are so fortunate that many of our family at RTI have been together for a decade or even much longer. As part of our growth and maturation process, a natural and healthy shift has been subtly occurring over the past year.  The focus has shifted from an orientation on Shahabuddin to a focus on the community. The students of the past become the teachers of today; the level of commitment among the members has increased; and we have a greater ability to support ourselves financially based on pledges, small donations and programs. Most importantly, we embody a collective ability to share in spreading the treasured message of love, harmony and beauty.

We are broadening our outreach to the greater Sarasota community, rekindling our relationship with the quest for peace in the Holy Land, growing the Universal Worship and related interfaith and interspiritual programs, becoming even more accessible to the many young people who seek us out, and continuing the overall healing work that is so necessary at this time.

Please help us continue to nourish our vision and commitment by supporting a sound physical structure for Rising Tide. Thank you.

Zaid has been in the Sufi Order International since 1980, after studying Vajrayana and Zen Buddhism. He moved to Sarasota in 1996 to join the spiritual community that became Rising Tide, where he has been a teacher since 2005. He has a PhD in Neuroscience and has published numerous scientific articles, and has an abiding interest in the conversation between science and spirit.

David Less has been teaching meditation and inner practice for 45 years and is recognized globally as a teacher of harmonious living, health, meditation and personal transformation. He is a Senior Teacher in the Sufi Order International and the International Head of the Universal Worship, an avenue for the harmonious celebration of all of the faiths of humanity without cultural or religious bias.

David is a founding member of the Abrahamic Reunion, a unique group of well-respected spiritual leaders in the Holy Land and beyond, acting as a living example of harmony among the world’s religions. In 1984, he founded David Less Tours, an international tour company which is promoting sacred travel and the exchange of ideas and heart connections among peoples of the world. David has practiced Sufism for all of his adult life and travels around the world sharing practices of sound, light and breath to uplift the spirit. He is the co-director of Rising Tide and the author of Universal Meditations: Recipes for a Peaceful Mind.
